Re: Blackburn away
Some BERK at the TO sent the 2 tickets I ordered to my mate's house instead, despite the fact I put my name as lead booker and put my address on the e-mail. The money also came out of my bank account...

Not a problem but a bit unusual.

Re: Blackburn away
Pretty much every Boozer in Blackburn town centre are Alchy boozers..and I'm not exaggerating...proper dives. Blackburn truly is the classic northern shithole
Postal order is okay.. a big Boozer that's standard Wetherspoons..about 15 min walk to ground.
Not sure if the Fenhurst is still called that.
Places like Whalley and Clitheroe different altogether but a bit too far for drinking..although a short trip on the chugger to blackburn

Big Spoons is called The Postal Order.

Would imagine that will get busy being open early doors.

Re: Blackburn away

There's a big Wetherspoons round the corner from the train station but can't remember what it's called.

The Fernhurst is about two minutes walk from the away end and the usual away pub but will be rammed. They used to do a marquee outside but not sure if they still do.

There's another one called the Golden Cup further up Bolton Road away from the ground but it's a shit uphill walk after the game.

The Oakenhurst Farm in Lower Darwen is supposedly another away pub but never been in there.

Re: Blackburn away
How many did we take to Highbury in the cup quarter Final.Couldnt have been less than 25000.
maybe more?
15000 in the Northbank + loads in the Clock End and they were even singing bubbles in the side enclosure.+ official seating allocation.
could even have been 30000 there? All the pubs taken over as soon as they opened at 10.30.
Those were the days.

Eindhoven
No def not 5k the ground held about 25k and there was at least 2k of forged tickets I'd guess the ground was 60/40 so there was at least 15k in there.
If you watch the video when QPR score the fella is standing in front of the standing on the left and nobody is celebrating.
The seats on the right were mixed but there were far more West Ham than QPR and although there were a lot of West Ham in the upper on the left there were def more QPR up there although when you see us score you our lot go up in there on the video.
I just read an article that said the old bill put us in the loft but pulled us out when it kept kicking off and that does ring a bellwether

Re: Blackburn away
I was in the seats down the side at qpr that day and it was def mostly west ham

One McAvennieeeeee 9:57 Wed Feb 17
Re: Blackburn away
That was probably the biggest in ratio with the size of the ground and the home support though?
